WASHINGTON – A number of local federal contract janitorial workers and security guards participated Wednesday in a roundtable on Capitol Hill that included Maryland Senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen. The contract workers say unlike other federal workers impacted by the shutdown of the government, there’s no guarantee they’ll be compensated their loss of income and that has them fearful for their future.
