Local health officials say risk of getting the flu is still high
About this time of year the flu bug starts winding down. But this year is proving to be one of the worst for Maryland, and the rest of the country,with new cases of the flu still coming in at a high rate.
Health Officials Urge Vaccinations, but are Optimistic about Flu Season
Friday, the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene kicked off its annual prevention campaign with a free flu clinic at the Baltimore County Health Department. By 10:30 a.m., 250 vaccines had been administered despite the pouring rain.
