Maryland schools experience COVID-19 outbreaks while slowly bringing students back to classrooms
Maryland has been one of the slowest states to return students to in-person instruction with only 57.4 percent of students back in classrooms as of April 20. There have been COVID-19 outbreaks at 216 different schools since the state began tracking the data in October of 2020.
