A new Maryland bill would allow voters to decide on legal marijuana

The Maryland House of Delegates approved two bills Friday to adjust the states’ marijuana laws – one that would put the ball in voters’ hands by giving them an opportunity to legalize marijuana use and the other by allowing those convicted of possessing the drug to request their records be erased.

AT&T shuts down 3G network to transition to 5G

College Park, MD – AT&T turned off its 3G wireless network on Monday as it looks to use those freed wavelengths for its faster 4G network. According to the company less than 1% of its mobile data traffic ran through its 3G network the week pending the shutdown. However, other companies’ products will be affected by the shutdown such as GM’s OnStar system and ADT’s home security systems.

Homeless Americans are missing out on Biden’s COVID-19 test kits

With Biden’s COVID-19 test kits arriving to millions of American homes, an estimated 580,466 homeless people did not qualify because of the lack of stable housing. The Montgomery County Coalition for the Homeless fights to “end homelessness in Montgomery County by building a community where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.” The Coalition hosts weekly COVID-19 test sites every Tuesday and Friday through their partnership with Montgomery County, which provides hundreds of rapid test kits.
