Montgomery County students walk out of class, demand change in gun legislation
Hundreds of Montgomery County students joined with others from around the region in a rally in front of the White House on Wednesday. The students say they wanted to add their voice to the students from Douglas High School in calling for changes in the law to prevent massacres at schools like the one last week at the Parkland, Florida school that left 17 students and faculty members dead.
College players and pros provide some special baseball lessons for area kids
Many children with special needs and autism from around Prince George’s County and Washington, D.C. attended a baseball clinic hosted by the University of Maryland baseball team. Investigation underway into shooting and SUV crash at NSA’s entrance
Three people are in custody after an SUV crashed Wednesday morning into the entrance of the National Security Agency headquarters. The FBI says shots were fired at the SUV as a result of the crash. The FBI is leading the investigation to determine the reason behind the crash.
Baltimoreans reflect after 12-day homicide-free streak
-Baltimore’s 343 murders in 2017 were the second highest in the history of the city. 2018 started out as the year before ended with nearly a murder a day. But, for the first time in a long time, 12 days this month passed by without a single homicide.
