College Park, MD – AT&T turned off its 3G wireless network on Monday as it looks to use those freed wavelengths for its faster 4G network. According to the company less than 1% of its mobile data traffic ran through its 3G network the week pending the shutdown. However, other companies’ products will be affected by the shutdown such as GM’s OnStar system and ADT’s home security systems.
